Alexandrovna Kudryavtseva Russian born November 3, 1987 in Moscow is a professional tennis player from Russia. She currently lives in Moscow, where she is coached by Nick Rybakov. She defeated Finland's Emma Laine in the first round 4–6, 6–2 and 9–7. In the second rond she lost against her lifetime heroine Martina Hingis in two sets, 6–2 and 6–2. In Paris, Kudryavtseva won against the 29th seed Gisela Dulko 7–5, 1–6, 8–6 to reach the third round of Roland Garros, where she was defeated by second seed Maria Sharapova in straight sets 6–1, 6–4.

At the 2009 Wimbledon Championships, she lost to #4 Elena Dementieva in the first round.
In 2010, she lost at the second round of the Australian Open to Agnieszka Radwańska with 6-0, 6-2. She reached the third round of the AEGON Classic in Birmingham, before losing to Maria Sharapova 6-3, 6-1. She reached her first WTA final at the 2010 Guangzhou International Women's Open but lost to top seed Jarmila Groth 6-1, 6-4. Her good performance continued and she won her first WTA singles title a week later, defeating Elena Vesnina 6-4, 6-4 at the 2010 Tashkent Open. Alla Kudryavtseva shocked fellow Russian Maria Sharapova in Wimbledon’s second round, defeating her in straight sets. She went on to reach the fourth round for her best Slam result. Kudryavtseva is still waiting for her first WTA tour title, though she won an ITF Pro Circuit event in Balashikha, Russia, in 2005. She captured the Kolkata doubles title with Vania King in 2007. Kudryavtseva’s father is a world champion Greco-Roman wrestler and her mother teaches chemistry.

Sharapova was born in 1987 to Yury and Yelena, ethnic Belarusians, in the town of Nyagan' in Siberia, Russia. Her parents moved from Gomel, Belarus after the Chernobyl nuclear accident in 1986 affected the region. When Sharapova was two, the family moved to Sochi where her father befriended Aleksandr Kafelnikov, whose son Yevgeny would go on to win two Grand Slam singles titles and became Russia's first ever World No.Maria Sharapova is a former World No. 1 Russian professional tennis player. Sharapova then defeated World No. 4 Caroline Wozniacki 7–5, 6–3 in the final against Team Europe.
After playing two exhibition tournaments in Asia, Sharapova officially began her season at the Australian Open, where she was upset in her first round match that lasted more than 3 hours, losing 6–7(4), 6–3, 4–6 to Maria Kirilenko. The loss meant that for the first time since 2003, Sharapova had lost her opening match at a Grand Slam event.
Immediately bouncing back, she competed in the Cellular South Cup. She defeated Shenay Perry 6–0, 6–2; Bethanie Mattek-Sands 6–1, 6–1; 8th seed Elena Baltacha 6–2, 7–5 and 5th seed Petra Kvitová 6–4, 6–3 to reach the final where she beat Sofia Arvidsson 6–2, 6–1 to win her 21st career WTA title and first of the year.
At the BNP Paribas Open, Sharapova came back from 4–6, 2–5 down to defeat Vera Dushevina 4–6, 7–5, 6–2 in the second round, but then lost in the third round 3–6, 6–2, 3–6 to Zheng Jie, aggravating a bruised bone on her right elbow in the process, which resulted in her eventual withdrawal from the Sony Ericsson Open and the Family Circle Cup.
Returning at the 2010 Mutua Madrileña Madrid Open, Sharapova lost in the first round 4–6, 3–6 to Lucie Šafářová.

Luís Filipe Madeira Caeiro Figo, OIH, (born 4 November 1972) is a Portuguese former international footballer. He played as a midfielder for Sporting CP, FC Barcelona, Real Madrid, and Internazionale, during a career which spanned over a period of 20 years. He retired from football on 31 May 2009.
